Dior Amsterdam

Dior opened its first store in the Netherlands on P.C. Hooftstraat in Amsterdam in 2014, giving the brand a presence on what has become the country's leading luxury shopping street over the past two decades. In 2022, eight years after that opening, Dior expanded into the building next door and gave the combined space a full renovation, housing the enlarged boutique across two former residential buildings joined behind a red-brick facade detailed with the house's cannage lattice pattern. Inside, the boutique uses Versailles-pattern parquet flooring to tie the different sections together, furnished with pieces chosen from established design names. The womenswear side is finished in an off-white, beige and gold palette with pink accents, with large rear windows opening onto views of the surrounding street trees, while the menswear side uses blue-toned carpeting to differentiate the two spaces. The store carries Dior's fashion, leather goods and fragrance lines as a full-format boutique rather than a single-category outpost. Its address, Pieter Cornelisz Hooftstraat 100, sits within the stretch of P.C. Hooftstraat that has drawn international flagship stores for brands including Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Chanel, cementing the street's status as the primary luxury retail corridor in the Netherlands.
