What Fabiana Filippi is known for
Family-owned knitwear house founded in 1985 in Giano dell'Umbria by brothers Mario and Giacomo Filippi Coccetta, named for Giacomo's daughter; cashmere and wool womenswear still produced in the founding town.
Fabiana Filippi began in 1985 in the basement of the Filippi Coccetta family home in Giano dell'Umbria, a small town in the province of Perugia, started by brothers Mario and Giacomo as a knitwear workshop. The brand's name comes from Giacomo's daughter, Fabiana. From a small cashmere, wool and cotton knitwear operation, the company expanded over time into outerwear, trousers, shirts, footwear and accessories, building a complete womenswear wardrobe around its knitwear core. Production and headquarters have remained in Giano dell'Umbria throughout the company's growth, entirely within the founding family.
