What Frescobaldi Gorgona is known for
Grown on the smallest island of the Tuscan Archipelago, which is also Europe's only remaining island penitentiary, this white comes from a two-hectare vineyard. Since 2012 the Frescobaldi wine house has trained inmates in viticulture and winemaking here, vinifying a Vermentino-Ansonica white and, later, a terracotta-aged Gorgona Rosso on the island.
