What Altura is known for
Francesco Carfagna restored the island's abandoned dry-stone terraces, the greppe, to grow Ansonica on Giglio's granite. Hand-harvested and made with native yeasts, the wines centre on the skin-contact Altura Ansonaco white, with a little red alongside.
