What Gujo Tsumugi Tanizawa is known for
Tanizawa is a Gujo Hachiman kimono shop and authorized dealer of Gujo tsumugi, a hand-woven silk revived after the Second World War by Living National Treasure Rikizo Munehiro through his Gujo Craft Research Institute, with the technique certified in 1982. Alongside tsumugi kimono, obi and accessories, the shop carries plant- and indigo-dyed cloth and arranges weaving and dyeing visits by appointment.
