What Haneulkang Atelier (하늘강아뜰리에) is known for
Ceramicists Jo Yun-sang and Shin Jeong-sook have run this atelier beside Daecheong Lake in Daejeon's Daedeok District since 2008, hand-throwing and hand-painting clay that is fired at 1,300 degrees Celsius. Recognized as Daejeon's first registered private garden, the studio teaches wheel-throwing and painting classes and ships finished pieces about four weeks after firing.
