What Sungsimdang (성심당) is known for
Founded in 1956 as a small steamed-bun stand in front of Daejeon Station, this Catholic family bakery grew into the city's defining bread house, known for its fried soboro buns and chive-and-red-bean pastries. The company operates only within Daejeon, running its Eunhaeng-dong flagship, cake boutiques, cultural centers and an online mall under the family-owned Rosso group.
