The Ethiopian entry, a Yirgacheffe Kochere, follows the same pattern of naming the specific place the beans came from rather than just the country. The roastery's Good Neighbour Blend goes a step further, tying a purchase to a local cause: proceeds currently support the Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association, which runs adaptive horseback riding programs for children, youth, and adults living with disabilities. Every bag is roasted locally in Kamloops after being sourced directly from the growers whose names it carries, so the roastery's own description of its approach — ethically sourced from farmers around the globe, roasted at home — plays out literally on the label. It's a rare case where the naming convention itself, not just the marketing copy, is the evidence of the direct-trade relationship.
