Hot Numbers traces back to a founder identified on its own site only as Simon, whose background blending engineering, music and what the company calls a flat-white obsession shaped the business from the start. The roastery itself runs from a site in Shepreth, supplying two Cambridge cafes - one on Gwydir Street, one on Trumpington Street - that the company describes as taking "a distinctly independent approach to speciality coffee."
