Jam Art Factory

Jam Art Factory was founded in 2011 by brothers Mark and John, opening first on Patrick Street in Dublin's Liberties before adding a second, smaller shop in Crown Alley in Temple Bar in 2013. Both locations operate as gallery-shops rather than conventional souvenir stores, stocking work from a rotating roster of Irish artists and designers -- ceramics, textiles, jewellery, screen prints, and pieces drawing on Dublin's street-art scene -- with an emphasis on supporting emerging and student makers alongside more established names. The shop's identity is built around direct relationships with its contributing artists rather than wholesale distribution, and it maintains a dedicated offshoot site for its print business separate from its general retail catalogue. The Patrick Street location was recognized in the Irish Times' list of Ireland's fifty best shops in 2013, two years after opening, a mark of how quickly the gallery model found an audience. Together the two Dublin branches function as one of the city's more consistently cited stops for visitors and locals looking for Irish-made design and art outside the mainstream souvenir trade.
