What JOTT is known for
Marseille outerwear label founded in 2010 by cousins Mathieu and Nicolas Gourdikian, known for ultra-light, compressible down jackets. Placed into court receivership in December 2025, it was acquired in 2026 by Amoniss, retaining about 40 stores and 70% of staff.
JOTT (Just Over The Top) was founded in Marseille in 2010 by cousins Mathieu and Nicolas Gourdikian, who set out to make a down jacket lighter and less bulky than typical expedition-style puffers. The brand's signature product is an ultra-light down jacket that compresses into its own carrying pouch. Sales reportedly doubled every year after launch, and by 2016 the company had sold more than 700,000 jackets. In 2021, JOTT came under LVMH ownership. Despite that backing, the company was placed into court-ordered receivership by the Marseille Economic Affairs Tribunal in December 2025. In 2026, the tribunal approved a bid from Amoniss (holding company of Salih Halissi, whose group also controls Pimkie, Chevignon and Christine Laure), which paid 3.5 million euros for JOTT's French entities and retained roughly 40 company-owned stores along with about 70% of the workforce.
