What Kai Winery is known for
A family-run winery built in 1986 inside a cluster of Edo-period buildings that once housed a sake brewery, four of which are registered national cultural properties. Its own vineyards grow Koshu, Merlot and Barbera, sold from the estate shop alongside tastings and food in a 200-year-old storehouse converted into a café.
