Kake Di Hatti

Old Delhi

What Kake Di Hatti is known for

Chandni Chowk naan restaurant founded in 1942 by Sardar Bhagwan Singh, credited with pioneering stuffed tandoori naan; the Old Delhi original ('King of Naan') has since grown into a 100+ outlet Indian chain.

Kake Di Hatti began in 1942 as a small food cart in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi, set up by Sardar Bhagwan Singh Ji and named after his young son, 'Kaka.' The stall originally served chole bhature before the family developed what several Indian food publications credit as an early or pioneering version of the tandoori stuffed naan. That reputation earned it the self-applied but widely repeated nickname 'King of Naan.' Now led by Gurdeep Singh, the business has grown from its single Chandni Chowk cart into a nationwide Indian restaurant chain of over 100 outlets across cities including Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
