What Kamotsuru Sake Brewing is known for
Kamotsuru has brewed on Saijo Honmachi for about 150 years and produces daiginjo, junmai daiginjo, ginjo, honjozo and junmai grades along with umeshu. Its Gold Kamotsuru daiginjo, garnished with a gold-leaf sakura, is the sake President Obama and Prime Minister Abe shared at a 2014 Tokyo dinner.
