What Kanazashi Woodcraft is known for
In the Hatajuku craft village, Katsuyoshi Kanazashi carves yosegi from solid blocks rather than shaving decorative veneers, so each coaster, bowl or box is a single three-dimensional piece stamped with his seal. The workshop also made the trophy for the opening leg of the Hakone Ekiden relay.
