What Karakashian — Jerusalem Pottery is known for
Karakashian traces to the same 1919 commission that brought Armenian tile painters to restore the Dome of the Rock, and the family has run its Via Dolorosa workshop ever since. Third-generation artist Hagop Karakashian hand-signs each piece, distinguishing originals from the Hebron factory copies that circulate in the Old City market.
