KL Craft Complex

Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex, run by the government's Malaysia Handicraft Development Corporation (Kraftangan Malaysia), is built in a Malay Terengganu architectural style on Jalan Conlay and organized as a one-stop showcase for Malaysian craft rather than a single shop. Retail is split across three named outlets: the Karyaneka Gift Shop for souvenirs, the Karyaneka Corporate Shop for silver, copper, pewter, wood, and crystal pieces, and the Karyaneka Craft Boutique, which specializes in textiles — batik, woven fabric, and hand-woven songket.

A Craft Museum on-site traces the history and manufacturing process behind Malaysian craft through a rotating, diorama-themed exhibition covering motifs, materials, and techniques. The complex also runs a Craft Village where visitors can watch — and in some sessions try — batik-making, ceramics, and metal and pewter work, plus a Preka Centre that connects designers and craft entrepreneurs with current market trends.

The complex is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., offers a free group chaperone service for visitors, and rents out several halls — including the 600-to-700-capacity Sari Theater — for corporate events and functions.
