Koala is an Australian direct-to-consumer bedding brand founded in November 2015 by Dany Milham and Mitch Taylor, headquartered in Sydney. It launched with a single compressed-foam 'mattress-in-a-box' shipped straight to customers, and has since expanded into sofas, sofa beds and bed bases. The Koala Mattress has won ProductReview.com.au's mattress category awards in 2023, 2024 and 2025. The company positions sustainability as part of its identity, including a partnership with WWF-Australia under which it donates toward koala conservation for mattresses sold.
