Kramer Kunst & Antiek

Kramer Kunst & Antiek was founded by Eduard Kramer more than 60 years ago and has remained a family business, now run by his sons Roeland and Sebastiaan Kramer. The shop sits in Amsterdam's Spiegelkwartier, the city's traditional antiques quarter, and has built its reputation over decades on a specific specialization within the broader antiques trade: Dutch tiles. The Kramer collection includes an estimated 500,000 antique tiles, spanning from the 1600s to the present, which the shop describes as the one of the largest collections of antique Dutch tiles in the world. Alongside tiles, the shop is an official dealer for De Porceleyne Fles, the Delft manufacturer that holds the Royal Delft designation and is the last of the original Delft potteries still producing traditional blue-and-white earthenware by hand. The wider inventory extends into categories typical of a general antiques house, glassware, jewelry, silverware, paintings, archaeological finds, antique clocks, old books and prints, copper and tin objects, bronze sculptures, Asian ceramics and lamps, but the tile collection and the Royal Delft dealership are what distinguish Kramer within Amsterdam's antiques trade, rather than a generalist inventory alone.
