La Bohème Café

La Bohème Café has been roasting its own coffee in Prague since 2005, building a reputation as one of the city's early specialty-coffee roasters in a market long dominated by mass-market brands. The beans run across single-origin lots, espresso blends, filter roasts, decaf and organic options, sold whole or ground alongside grinders, kettles, French presses and scales for people brewing at home.

Tea sits alongside the coffee program: La Bohème is the exclusive Czech distributor for Harney & Sons, giving its shelves and menu a serious loose-leaf selection to go with the espresso. Two Prague cafés carry the name — a Parisian-styled room on Sázavská and a second location on Na Švihance, near Riegrovy sady park — both open daily from 8:30 to 20:00, pouring coffee and tea to drink in along with hot chocolate and pastries. The company also runs a wholesale side supplying hotels and offices, plus e-commerce shipping across several European countries.

For visitors, it's a dependable stop for a proper cup of either coffee or tea in a city where good tea culture is harder to find than good coffee, from a roaster with two decades behind the counter.
