What LeComte is known for
German women's fashion label acquired in 2008 by Rabe Moden GmbH, whose roots go back to a 1920 knitwear factory founded by Albert Rabe in Hilter am Teutoburger Wald. Part of the RABE Fashion Group alongside RABE and RABE Denim, sold in around 2,300 cities across 38+ countries.
Rabe Moden traces to 1920, when Albert Rabe founded a knit-fabric factory producing women's, men's and children's clothing. The company relocated in 1968 to its present headquarters in Hilter am Teutoburger Wald, near Osnabruck. In 2008, Rabe acquired the LeComte brand, building out the RABE Fashion Group, encompassing RABE, LCMT (LeComte) and RABE Denim. LeComte's collections are described as natural, feminine and sporty, distributed wholesale to retailers across roughly 2,300 cities in more than 38 countries.
