What Manoel Bernardes is known for
Founded in Belo Horizonte in 1970 by gem dealer Manoel Bernardes, this jeweller made its name on lesser-known Brazilian coloured stones, running its own rough-gem buying and lapidary work through Lapidação Minas Gerais. Now in family hands across several city stores, it designs its own pieces around Minas Gerais gems and also carries watch houses such as Rolex.
