Marianas Creations

Marianas Creations opened in Garapan in 2019, founded by Elina and her husband as a combined cafe, bar, gift shop, and art gallery built around makers from Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. More than 25 local artists supply the jewelry, art, and food and drink products sold on-site, and the shop itself was renovated using recycled materials as part of a broader push to cut plastics out of its food and drink service. Alongside coffee, the bar pours craft beer, cocktails, and mocktails made with local ingredients. The gallery function isn't incidental -- Marianas Creations regularly hosts First Friday events where the artists whose work fills the shelves can meet the people buying it, turning a retail transaction into a direct connection between maker and customer. For visitors leaving the islands, the shop ships its makers' goods off-island, extending the reach of Marianas-made jewelry, art, and food products beyond Saipan itself. The combination of eco-conscious renovation, a genuine local-maker roster, and a bar and cafe built into the same space makes it as much a community showcase for Marianas craftspeople as a place to get a drink.
