What Men-Tsee-Khang (Tibetan Medical & Astro Institute) is known for
Re-established in Dharamshala in 1961 by the 14th Dalai Lama, this institute runs a pharmacy department that compounds Sorig herbal medicines and precious pills from traditional Tibetan formulations. Its counters and online shop also carry astrological calendars, amulets and Tibetan medical texts produced in-house.
