What 森口竹工業 (Moriguchi Bamboo) is known for
Moriguchi is a second-generation Beppu workshop on Baba street whose madake baskets, sieves, bags and flower vases are made in the tradition that earned Beppu bamboo craft its 1979 national Traditional Craft designation. The family splits and weaves Oita-grown bamboo by hand, producing both utilitarian ware and contemporary decorative pieces.
