Narin Couture

Narin Couture was established in July 1997 on Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok, founded by Narin Bowonnaowarux, whose training combined formal design and construction study at Paris's Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne — the same institution historically tied to French haute couture education. That background shaped a tailoring house built around traditional construction methods rather than off-the-rack alteration.

The shop, located at 180 Soi 8 off Sukhumvit Road in Khlong Toei, combines a working tailoring atelier with a lounge space and has positioned itself at the more technical end of Bangkok's tailoring scene: it was among the first shops in Thailand to adopt 3D body-scanning technology for fitting, and Narin is known for offering fully canvassed suit construction — a labor-intensive technique using an internal structured layer, more associated with higher-end Western tailoring than typical fast-turnaround Bangkok tailors.

The house works primarily with imported cashmere, cotton, and wool cloths, and typical orders — suits and dresses — take around two weeks to complete. Over more than two decades in Bangkok's tailoring trade, the shop has built a clientele that includes political and diplomatic figures alongside private customers, reflecting its position among the city's higher-end bespoke tailoring houses rather than its tourist-facing 24-hour-suit shops.
