Maison Moreau's history stretches back to 1764, when Louis Moreau Sr., a noted French cabinetmaker, began the business that would eventually become a Paris trunk and leather-goods house. The company later took prestigious Paris addresses, including rue Boissy d'Anglas in 1878 and rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore in 1882 - the year it introduced the wicker-inspired monogram pattern that remains its signature. Moreau went dormant in the early twentieth century but was revived in 2010 by entrepreneur Veronika Rovnoff and her brother Fedor Georges Savchenko, who relaunched the house around its 1882 monogram and trunk-making heritage.
