Naschmarkt Flohmarkt

The Naschmarkt Flohmarkt sets up every Saturday from 6:30am to 3pm at the Kettenbrücke end of Vienna's Naschmarkt, spanning the Mariahilf/Margareten district along the Wienzeile. Roughly 400 vendors work the market — a mix of private sellers clearing out attics and estates alongside professional antiques and collectibles dealers — so the stock ranges from genuinely old furniture, artwork, and silverware down to inexpensive secondhand household goods, used paperbacks, and vinyl records. Vienna's municipal market office (the Marktamt) issues the vendor permits, and the market runs nearly year-round, closing only December 25-26 and January 1 and 6, with an early noon closing on December 24 and 31. Because it sits directly beside the Naschmarkt's produce and food stalls, many visitors combine a grocery walk with a flea-market browse on the same morning. Experienced buyers tend to arrive at opening, since the best pieces move fast before the weekend crowds build through late morning; prices are generally negotiable. Along with the smaller Flohmarkt am Hof, it is one of Vienna's two long-running weekend flea markets, and by vendor count and variety it is the larger of the two.
