What Norbulingka Institute is known for
Founded in 1988 to preserve Tibetan literary and artistic traditions, the institute employs more than 300 artisans producing thangka paintings, gilded copper statues, appliqué, wood carving and hand-woven textiles on its Sidhpur campus.
