What Nugnes 1920 is known for
Family-run luxury multibrand boutique in Trani, Puglia, founded in the 1920s by tailor Giuseppe Nugnes; now in its third generation, housed in the historic Palazzo Pugliese and carrying roughly 250 international brands.
Nugnes began at the dawn of the 1920s as a bespoke tailoring business in the center of Trani, founded by Giuseppe Nugnes, who made custom suits for local bankers, nobles and the bourgeoisie. A men's ready-to-wear boutique was added in 1956 and a women's boutique in 1989, evolving the family business from a single tailor's shop into an internationally recognized multibrand retailer while staying physically rooted in Puglia. The current store occupies Palazzo Pugliese, a listed historic building in central Trani. Now run by the third generation of the Nugnes family, the boutique represents roughly 250 international fashion and luxury brands.
