Orsina Dansi launched her label and boutique, Orsina à, after relocating from northern Italy to Puglia, where she had originally intended to spend a single summer at her parents' house while starting over from a career in finance and the luxury fashion press. Instead, the move became permanent: Masseria Torre Coccaro, the estate whose Coccaro Beach Club anchors the boutique, gave her a dedicated retail space in Savelletri, where she opened her first summer shop roughly around 2013.

The brand's identity grew out of a personal habit — visiting local markets and rediscovering old, discarded fabrics — turned into a design practice built on Italian textile traditions reworked with an eye toward recycling and material reuse rather than new production. Each season, Dansi mixes bought-in pieces from research-oriented brands and items sourced during her travels with garments she designs herself from vintage textiles: cotton, linen, jute, and hand-decorated antique cloth.

Production of the vintage-fabric pieces relies on a group of Puglian women who help realize Dansi's designs by hand, tying the boutique's output directly to local craftsmanship rather than an outside manufacturing pipeline. The result is positioned less as a conventional fashion retailer than as a curated, upcycling-focused project rooted in its single Savelletri location.
