What Quasi Skateboards is known for
Skateboard brand launched in 2015 out of Cincinnati, Ohio, by former Alien Workshop rider Chad Bowers with Jake Johnson, Gilbert Crockett and Tyler Bledsoe. Originally named 'Mother,' the team rebranded to Quasi after a trademark cease-and-desist forced a name change.
Quasi Skateboards grew out of the closure of Alien Workshop in 2014. Former Alien Workshop team member Chad Bowers took time off before regrouping with riders Jake Johnson, Gilbert Crockett and Tyler Bledsoe to launch a new company in March 2015, initially called 'Mother.' A cease-and-desist letter over the name forced a quick rebrand to 'Quasi.' Operating out of Cincinnati, Quasi has kept tight creative control over its output, including screen-printed decks and cut-and-sew apparel.
