What Royal Delft (De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles) is known for
Founded in 1653, this is the last survivor of the original 17th-century Delftware potteries, where painters still hand-decorate every blue-and-white piece and mark it with a painter's initials and a year code. The Rotterdamseweg complex holds a museum, a factory store and Brasserie1653, and turns out plates, tiles and figurines finished on site.
