What Salvio Gioielleria (4th generation) is known for

Naples jeweler on Via San Biagio dei Librai, inside the Renaissance Palazzo Marigliano; bought as a shop in 1922 by Maria, widowed after her husband Paolo's earlier goldsmith workshop in the Sanità district closed, and still family-run in gold, silver and coral.

Salvio Gioielleria's history begins with Paolo, who ran a goldsmithing workshop with more than twenty craftsmen in Naples's Sanità district in the early 20th century — an operation that closed amid wartime disruption. After Paolo's death, his widow Maria, left with three children, bought a shop in 1922 at Via San Biagio dei Librai 41, inside the 16th-century Palazzo Marigliano in the heart of Naples's historic center — the same address the business trades from today. The family has run the shop continuously since that purchase, a stretch the business itself marks as 96 years of operation in its own materials, and describes its continuity as passed 'from generation to generation.' The jewelry mixes gold, silver and coral — coral working has its own long tradition along the Bay of Naples — and the shop also runs a workshop doing restoration of antique and religious objects, engraving, and repairs to gold and silver pieces, plus routine services like watch battery changes.
