Cuban sandwich shop founded in 2015 by Daniel Figueredo and Rosa Romero. Opened a shipping-container stand on Calle Ocho in 2017, closed months later over permitting issues, then reopened permanently nearby in Little Havana. Three consecutive Michelin Bib Gourmand honors.
Sanguich began as an idea in 2015 from husband-and-wife team Daniel Figueredo and Rosa Romero. In October 2017 they converted a shipping container into a walk-up Cuban sandwich stand on Calle Ocho in Miami's Little Havana. The container shop closed without notice in January 2018 amid regulatory issues - there were no local laws that clearly accommodated a shipping-container business format. They regrouped and opened a permanent storefront a few blocks from the original spot. Since then the business has expanded to five locations across greater Miami, and has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand designation three years running.
