What Sartoria Tofani is known for
Bespoke menswear tailor founded 1954 in Naples by Aristide Tofani, a former apprentice of Vincenzo Attolini; now run by his sons and nephew, based on Via Monte di Dio in the Chiaia district.
Sartoria Tofani was founded in 1954 by Aristide Tofani, who trained under Vincenzo Attolini - a formative figure in the modern Neapolitan tailoring style - before opening his own atelier in Naples. Aristide passed the trade to the next generation: his sons Davide and the younger Aristide, and his nephew Enea, who now carry on the house's bespoke menswear practice. Every garment is described as fully handmade in Naples following traditional Neapolitan cutting and sewing methods. The atelier is located at Via Monte di Dio 3c, within Naples's Chiaia quarter, the historic tailoring district.
