Servus Heimat

Munich

📍 Servus Heimat, Ruffinihaus, Sendlinger Straße 1, 80331 Munich, Germany

What Servus Heimat is known for

Munich concept store for Bavarian gifts and souvenirs since 2003 - cuckoo clocks, weather houses, wobble dachshunds - inside the historic Ruffinihaus near Marienplatz in the Altstadt.

Servus Heimat is a Bavarian-themed gift and souvenir retailer founded in Munich in 2003. Its name plays on the regional greeting 'Servus' and the German word for homeland, and its logo - a chamois, or Gams - signals the alpine, southern-German identity behind its product selection. The flagship location occupies the Ruffinihaus, a building constructed by the city of Munich between 1903 and 1905 that now houses a cluster of independent shops, at Sendlinger Strasse 1 in the Altstadt, a short walk from Marienplatz. The shop reworks familiar Bavarian souvenirs - weather houses, cuckoo clocks, wobble dachshunds, Christmas ornaments - alongside a house textile line for adults, children and babies, and curated regional design objects under a 'Bavarica' banner. Beyond the Ruffinihaus, Servus Heimat operates a second Munich location inside the Munchner Stadtmuseum, plus stores in Prien am Chiemsee, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Berchtesgaden, giving it five physical locations across Upper Bavaria.
