Syed Khader Sahab opened Subhan Bakery in Nampally in 1951, and it was the Osmania and fruit biscuits baked here through the 1970s that spread its name across the old city. The bakery still turns out dum ke roat and crescent-shaped chand biscuits from the same Nampally kitchen.
