What Tellason is known for

San Francisco selvedge-denim label founded in 2008 by Tony Patella and Pete Searson, who started it out of Tony's garage; jeans are cut and sewn in the US from Cone Mills White Oak denim.

Tellason was founded in San Francisco in 2008 by Tony Patella and Pete Searson, who began making jeans out of Tony's garage; the brand's name is a portmanteau of the two founders' surnames. Both men were born in 1965 and grew up in the Bay Area with a shared interest in denim and punk music; they first crossed paths at San Diego State University but weren't formally introduced until 1990. Patella had earlier been a partner in a denim company alongside Cliff Abbey, founder of Sticky Fingers, while Searson built experience in international sales within the action-sports industry. Tellason's jeans are cut and sewn in the United States using Cone Mills White Oak selvedge denim.
