The Edit

The Edit is a Dubai concept store founded in 2018 by Rumana Nazim, a lawyer-turned-entrepreneur, after she identified a gap in the regional retail market for a genuinely curated, cross-category space. The store combines womenswear, jewelry, accessories, homeware and beauty products — with a stated emphasis on women-founded brands — alongside an organic matcha and specialty-coffee bar, and periodically hosts art exhibitions and wellness or empowerment events. Press coverage describes The Edit as part of Dubai's small but growing scene of independent, non-mall concept retailers, distinguishing it from department-store or franchise models. Its physical location has moved over its history: earlier coverage places the store at Villa 966 on Al Wasl Road, while its own website currently lists Alserkal Avenue, Dubai's established art and creative district in Al Quoz, as its home. It is founder-owned and independently operated rather than part of a larger retail group.
