What Tortuga Rum Company (Cayman) is known for
Robert and Carlene Hamaty founded Tortuga in Grand Cayman in 1984, and the rum cakes became the island's edible export. George Town now distils its own Cayman rum, with bottling visible through windows at the retail stores.
