Xerjoff

Xerjoff was founded in Turin in 2007 by Sergio Momo, working with Dominique Salvo. Momo, born in Turin in 1964 and trained in graphic design, traced his interest in perfumery to his grandmother, a collector of niche fragrances. In 2005 he traveled to Grasse, the historic center of French perfumery, to study fragrance creation and the field's 19th-century foundations before formally launching the brand two years later. The name Xerjoff merges two words: 'Joff,' the nickname his grandmother gave him, and 'Sir,' the form of address used by colleagues he worked with in London. The company's early Stone Label collection dates to 2007, the same founding year, followed by lines including Shooting Stars in 2009 and the Casamorati collection, styled as a tribute to Italian perfumery of the Art Nouveau era. The brand has also produced attars — oil-based, alcohol-free perfumes — alongside conventional eau de parfums, and has run a collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini built around the idea of power expressed through scent.
