Yit Foh Coffee

Yit Foh dates to 1960, when founder Yong Loong Vun began roasting coffee in Tenom, Sabah, working with beans grown locally rather than imported stock — the company describes itself as the town's oldest and most established coffee factory. Over more than five decades as a roasting operation, it built a product line around Sabah white coffee and Kopi-O before diversifying in 2017 with the opening of Yit Foh Coffee Park, which added a restaurant and cottage accommodation to the original factory site and turned it into a day-trip destination commonly visited from Kota Kinabalu. The current catalog runs well beyond a single house blend: white coffee variants, a drip coffee series, powdered mixes, café au lait, teh tarik, and a Musang King Durian White Coffee that ties the shop's coffee-roasting heritage to a distinctly Malaysian ingredient rather than a generic flavor add-on. Packs start around RM7–8, keeping the everyday product line accessible rather than positioned as a premium specialty good, while the coffee park draws visitors in specifically to see where the beans are roasted. For a business built on a single Tenom factory for most of its history, the 2017 expansion into hospitality marks the clearest shift from wholesale roaster to a branded, visitable heritage destination.
