11.11/eleven eleven is the Delhi-based label of Mia Morikawa, a graphic-design graduate of Central Saint Martins, and Shani Himanshu, who trained in fashion design at Milan's Domus Academy. Operating under parent company CellDSGN, the two built the brand around what they call a 'seed to stitch' philosophy: garments made from indigenous cotton, hand-spun and hand-loom woven, then finished using miniature tie-dye, hand painting, and quilting techniques learned from artisan communities across India. Every piece is dyed with 100% natural colorants rather than synthetic ones, and the label frames the process as regenerative rather than merely sustainable -- nitrogen-rich runoff from its natural dyeing is redirected to fertilize the fields of the same rural communities that supply the cotton and the labor. That closed loop, alongside the deliberate rejection of industrial mass production, has made 11.11 a reference point in India's slow-fashion movement, sold through the label's own flagship on Lodhi Road in New Delhi as well as internationally. The name itself nods to symmetry and intention -- 11:11 as a moment of alignment -- carried through into a catalogue of khadi clothing, naturally dyed textiles, quilts and rugs built to outlast trend cycles rather than follow them.
