11 Degrees was founded in 2014 in Kendal, in England's Lake District, by Gary Beadle - known as 'Gaz,' a cast member of the reality show Geordie Shore - and Andrew Hayton, who already owned the menswear retailer Urban Celebrity. Steve Kitchen joined as a third partner in 2015. The brand built a sportswear-influenced streetwear range aimed at men in their teens and twenties. The business expanded quickly through the mid-2010s but was hit hard by the pandemic and supply-chain disruption; in 2023, 11 Degrees Ltd was sold out of administration to Greystone House Brands Ltd and MCR Collective Ltd in a deal that saved more than 20 jobs.
