Sik Silk

SikSilk is a British streetwear and athleisure brand founded in 2013 by three friends from Scarborough, England: Barry Gill, David Thompson and Sam Kay. The label started with baseball-style jerseys aimed at the gym and nightlife crowd, mixing sportswear cuts with muscle-fit tailoring and bold graphic branding. Its early growth came through UK celebrity and influencer culture rather than traditional retail marketing — the brand's visibility rose sharply after being stocked by Project 722, a Newcastle store co-owned by television personality Gary Beadle, who wore the pieces publicly and helped push SikSilk into wider recognition on the UK celebrity and reality-TV scene. From that base the company expanded its range from jerseys into joggers, hoodies, outerwear and womenswear, positioning itself at the intersection of football culture, gym wear and street fashion. It now sells through its own e-commerce sites (including siksilk.com/en-us) and through UK high-street partners such as JD Sports, alongside distribution across Europe, North America, Australia and Asia. The brand remains associated with a fitted, body-conscious cut and graphic-heavy branding rather than a physical flagship store — its retail footprint is primarily online and wholesale rather than a single standalone boutique.
