5 Octobre is a Paris jewelry house founded by Sophie Pfeffer, who spent nearly a decade practicing law before turning to a lifelong interest in stones, antique jewelry and tribal adornment. She launched her first collection in 2004, quickly drawing attention from fashion editors. Pfeffer works in small series with French artisans, and every piece is made by hand in the brand's own atelier, using fine gemstones in both cut and raw form alongside precious metals finished in fine gold, turquoise, labradorite and cotton thread. The brand's Paris showroom is on rue de Seine in Saint-Germain-des-Pres.
