727 Sailbags

727 Sailbags began in 2005 when sailor Jean-Baptiste had the idea of turning a sail from his family's Farr 727 boat into a travel bag. The venture became the company Green Sails in 2010, with 727 Sailbags as its product brand, and it set up its workshop in Lorient, in the Brittany region known as ocean racing's 'Sailing Valley.' Every bag, item of luggage or decorative piece is made from a decommissioned sail, collected from sailors and sailmakers and sorted and identified in France before being cut and sewn. 727 Sailbags is an official partner of the Vendee Globe round-the-world race, and for the 2024 edition produced a collection made from sails used by competitors in earlier editions.
