Ahmed Al Maghribi Perfumes was founded in Dubai in 2000 by Kafeel Ahmed, who built what started as a personal fragrance venture into one of the more widely distributed Middle Eastern perfume houses, now running more than 190 stores and shipping to upward of 90 countries. The range covers the full spread of Gulf-style fragrance: alcohol-based perfumes, dehn al oud, bakhoor, and concentrated oil attars, built around Arabic perfumery's traditional materials — oud, musk, amber, rare florals — rather than a Western-style eau de toilette line. Individual releases carry specific compositions: Kaaf, introduced in 2022, is built around lavender, watermelon, jasmine and sandalwood; Ignite Oud, from 2024, leans oriental and heavier, combining leather, geranium, amber and musk. The brand's growth has stayed anchored to its GCC base — UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar — while extending into South Asia, the US, UK and Canada through both retail branches and export. For a house barely a quarter-century old, the scale (190-plus stores, dozens of named fragrances across oud, bakhoor and spray formats) puts it closer to a regional perfume group than a boutique attar counter, even as its formulations stay rooted in oud and bakhoor rather than diversifying into unrelated categories.
