Italian rainwear house founded by brothers Allegro and Renato Allegri near Vinci, Tuscany, in the late 1950s/early 1960s, expanding via the Empoli firm Finest (1962) before Allegri S.p.A. was formally established in Vinci in 1971. Opened its first Florence boutique on Via Tornabuoni in the 1980s.
Allegri traces to the late 1950s/early 1960s, when brothers Allegro and Renato Allegri began producing nylon raincoats near Vinci, Tuscany. In 1962 they set up a wholesale-facing firm, Finest, in Empoli. They formally founded Allegri S.p.A. in Vinci in 1971. The brand's first standalone boutique opened in the 1980s on Via Tornabuoni in Florence.
